GM Nationals

Got back last night from Carlisle. Have to say, mixed feeling about this show. It’s really going down hill. Everyone said it was a great show years ago, but over the last 3 years, attendance has dropped. This weekend”s weather has lots to do with it I’m sure. Although, it was a lot of fun hanging ou...

Re: MCCC Car Show

LOL!! Yeah, it was a good race! Powers was totally in the wrong on that move. He’s getting fined for that move. Well today’s show was good, bad and ugly!! It would have helped if all parties were on the same page. Property management changed things up at the last minute without telling anyone, the v...

Re: MCCC Car Show

Got both Montes cleaned up and ready today. Loaded the goodie bags and the banner in mine. Fixed Jacks brake line the other night, so he’ll be bringing his truck. The boys are meeting here for 8:30 and then heading over. Weather is looking good for tomorrow! Should be a good show! Now I get to relax...

Re: MCCC Car Show

Pete, Diana is going to be working, but if she has time she might stop up.

Clint, sorry you won’t be joining us, but understandable.

Well, I’ve got 100 goodies bags to slap together, I’ll be there Sunday!!

Re: MCCC Car Show

Haven't heard from either of them in a while.

What time are you planning on getting out there? I'm hoping to be there around 9-9:30

I started cleaning the car, but side jobs keep holding me back. I'll spend all day Saturday if I have to!

Re: My newest addition

Did a quick detail today, sadly found a couple new scratches and rust spots. Really planned on getting started with the body work this year, but with the 01 SS torn apart and my truck making all kinds of racket, I've had to drive it almost daily. Good thing it gets killer gas mileage! Took less than...

Re: The on and on thread

Took a break today to get some stuff done, went to mass this morning, washed the Olds, went to mom's, stopped at dads grave, then came home and cut the lawn. Matt came home and we drained the water out of the boat. He never pulled the drain plug before winter and it was nearly flooded. Went for a wa...

Re: 1958 Plymouth Fury CHRISTINE!!!

It was no big deal. Wayne did the hard work. Once he had all the accessories and the radiator was out, the rest is just a few bolts and a little prying action.

Just hope it turns out to be something cheap to repair.

Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

Yeah, wasn't one of my smartest moves. But it's a life lesson. Clint, we were just past the Clarence rest stop, heading to the Glen. Sadly, The insurance company only gave me $3k for it. I kept it. Matt and i stripped it down and there is no structure damage. Now I'm waiting on the check to see what...

Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

We started tearing it apart to get a good look at the structure. We also hit junkyards yesterday to try and locate the body panels. We got some of the hard to find stuff. Even if we don't fix it, I can easily sell these parts. Marks has a whole back clip, so that's a good sign. They have had it for ...

Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

Sad to say, this chapter has quite possibly come to an end. On the way to Watkins Glen this morning, we hit a patch of ice and spun the car into the guardrail. We are all ok, barely felt the hit. The car wasn't so lucky. The right rear is slammed inside the trunk, rear bumper is torn, the deck lid c...

Re: The Annual Watkins Glen opening weekend

One week to go and this weather is killing me!! The 01 is at the garage, but it's too damn cold to work on it. I still need to swap the tires over, top off all the fluids and detail it. Matthew's car is still in the trailer. The trailer is sunk into my lawn so it won't be going. But the way the weat...

Re: MCCC Car Show

Quick update, since this year's show is the 10th annual, Pete and I decided to make it look as professional as we can. So after a little footwork, I was able to get a car show kit from Summit Racing. It contains 100 window display cars, registration cards, goodie bags, stickers and one banner. [Im k...
