Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

Yeah, wasn't one of my smartest moves. But it's a life lesson. Clint, we were just past the Clarence rest stop, heading to the Glen. Sadly, The insurance company only gave me $3k for it. I kept it. Matt and i stripped it down and there is no structure damage. Now I'm waiting on the check to see what...

Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

We started tearing it apart to get a good look at the structure. We also hit junkyards yesterday to try and locate the body panels. We got some of the hard to find stuff. Even if we don't fix it, I can easily sell these parts. Marks has a whole back clip, so that's a good sign. They have had it for ...

Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

Sad to say, this chapter has quite possibly come to an end. On the way to Watkins Glen this morning, we hit a patch of ice and spun the car into the guardrail. We are all ok, barely felt the hit. The car wasn't so lucky. The right rear is slammed inside the trunk, rear bumper is torn, the deck lid c...

Re: The Annual Watkins Glen opening weekend

One week to go and this weather is killing me!! The 01 is at the garage, but it's too damn cold to work on it. I still need to swap the tires over, top off all the fluids and detail it. Matthew's car is still in the trailer. The trailer is sunk into my lawn so it won't be going. But the way the weat...

Re: MCCC Car Show

Quick update, since this year's show is the 10th annual, Pete and I decided to make it look as professional as we can. So after a little footwork, I was able to get a car show kit from Summit Racing. It contains 100 window display cars, registration cards, goodie bags, stickers and one banner. [Im k...

Re: Car Show lists

Clint, yeah, when Matthew was little I could barely afford the house and 3 vehicles. Now we're up to seven and I need to replace the truck. Work sucks right now, so I've been doing side jobs like crazy to pay for bills and put cash away for a truck down payment. Good thing I didn't build a race car!

Re: The on and on thread

Did some running around this morning, made it home in time to catch the Indy season opener. Really though the rookie would take it considering he lead the most laps. But a over anxious Rossi slid in a turn and took him out. Sadly the driver I can't stand took the win. Now I'm sitting here watching t...

Re: Say a Prayer

Today, i received some sad news. Johnny Fehan passed away this morning. Most of you guys would know his car before him. He had the blue 32 Chrysler coupe that was at many car shows and cruises. He was Matthew's mentor at Mil-Stream, an influential hot roder to me, as well as a good friend for many y...

Re: Cavalcade?

Darren, the boys and I went.

Not one of their best shows.

The black Camaro was the best, but it had a chrome steering column that was just overkill

I'll try my best to get over there Wayne, But Spring is when I get buried with my own stuff.

On that note, I can't wait to tackle some more issues on the car!

Re: Car Show lists

Yes, I know there are only 2 so far. Maybe another show will pop up.

And, I found another show that will probably make the list.
Peak n peak is October 14th. We did that show 2 years ago, but this year, Dennis Gage of the tv show My Classic Car will be there.

Re: 2001 SS Suspension upgrade

Wish this weather would break! I have a few idea that I want to do to the 01. But with having to have the roof finished this year, I may not have a lot of cash to spend. So it might be a cheap year.

Well, got some stuff done today, even brought the Olds home from Mom's. I need to swap the battery this week. And I don't ant my Drunken AHole uncle to get behind the wheel. Now I get to relax and watch the NASCAR Clash for a short time. Then I guess I will do some laps on the slot car track. Next Sa...

Re: 2016/ 2017 Club Dinner

Was great to see everyone that came last night! And we had the wonderful announcement of Jason's wife Sue being pregnant. I thought the place was really nice, The food was good and decent sized [ a few went home with leftovers] and the price wasn't bad either. They had enough room to accommodate a l...
