Nice presents Dave.
We didn't exchange stuff this year since we bought a new couch and bed.

You know, a lot of families are doing that. Just get what you need during the year and maybe a little something at Christmas. It is mostly for the kids anyways.

That's what we figured - just get the kids stuff.
If I need anything I just go buy it. And all the stuff I wish I had is too expensive for someone to get me as a gift.

That's what Rosemary hates. We'll be out, I'll see something I like so she's thinking "I'll get that for him for Christmas." Next day I'll come waltzing into the house with the item I just bought for myself. lol

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Hope you all have A great holiday season.

I'm making dinner for the next 2 nights so I'm going to be petty busy. This year going to try and mix the Polish and Italian traditions. Going to attempt shrimp scampi as part of the Italian 5 fishes.

I'll let you know how it turns out

Merry Christmas everybody!
Good luck with the 5 fishes Dave. I’m Italian but was raised by Germans so I’ve never experienced the 5 fishes. Lol.

Dinners went well. The scampi was awesome! Matthew polished it off like he's never eaten before. Scallops were sweet and buttery. I think I used the wrong wine. The pierogies were pretty good, just a little thicker dough than I like.

Tonight the baked macaroni, ham, corn, and potatoes came out awesome!

So, anyone get anything cool? I got boots, a slot car, GPS unit, jeans and lots of chocolate .

We got Matt stuff for his new trailer. He got a spare tire, a ramp, t bar, fire extinguisher, trash can and a mount for the hold down straps. We wanted to be sure he had everything to keep him safe on the road

Clint I am Italian too but we never did the 5 fishes, this is the 1st I've heard of it. Growing up there was a lot of talk about people "swimming with the fishes " but that was it.

Glad to hear that the dinners came out well.

This was the year of the puzzle as I gave Ro a 1000 piece one and she gave me a 500 piece one of wolves and her daughter gave me a 1000 piece one based on Route 66 which was cool. Ro gave me some long sleeve shirts which I've been wearing more of this year plus 2 WWII books. Hopefully I'll have time to read them and do the puzzles too.

Dave, if you're like me we are hard to buy for. If I mention that I like something I usually buy it for myself leaving Ro to scramble for other ideas.

Yeah, he picked it up in October. 26' enclosed.

Pete, I'm actually easy to shop for. But most of the time, I just buy it myself when I need or want something'.

That's what I meant. Like you I buy stuff I want myself. That leaves Ro scrambling for ideas.
