i think the exam went alright. now i have to wait 2-6 weeks for the results. if i pass this one then i'll be 57% done. then i'll only have three more exams to go. there's gonna be a big party when this process is over!

cool! congrats. my birthday was last week. nothing too exciting - got some money, tools, a CD i wanted and an ice cream cake. i did buy myself a new lawn mower and weed whacker the week before so that was cool. the lawnmower i had was probably almost 20 years old. mom gave it to me when we bought this house and i remember using it to mow her lawn in the early or mid-90's. got our money's worth out of that one. LOL.

I finally got the 86 out today!!!! And man what a mess! Matt's "side job" has made a disaster out of the car and garage. It fired right up, but it made such a cloud of dust it was hard to see getting the car out, then the fumes of the exhaust made my eyes water. But it's out, somewhat cleaned off. Hopefully this week after work I can get detailing it. Wanted to get a pic of the 01 SS in the sun today, but my camera isn't working. Maybe it will stay clean a few more days

Man what a race!!! It was a top ten lifetime experiance!! I can't wait until next year, Already have the order in for tickets, LOL! I'll get pics loaded up over the next few days.

On the way home was some real excitement, I was driving my brother in laws truck, I saw 4 deer walk out onto the road, I hit the brakes, but there was nothing there! All I could do was aim for the gap between 2 of the deer and hope for the best. I hit one with the left headlight in the head and the hind quarter of the other with the bumper. Only damage was the head light and a small ding on the drivers door. Hard part was driving 35 miles, only having the parking brake to stop, to an open Walmart to grab some brake fluid and a pair of pliers. I played MacGuyver and crimped off the line while Matt depressed the brake pedal and added fluid. Had a great pedal but made for some wicked left handed turns when braking. Made it home for Midnight and fixed it the right way today.

damn - that accident could have been a lot worse. i'm always paranoid driving the camaro back to Rochester when it gets dark. if i ever hit a deer, the thing would probably come right through the windshield!

We were pretty lucky. I have seen cars get torn up really bad by deer. And I agree, Driving the SS at night isn't one of my most calm experiences either.

on the bright side! We hired a new guy today! Now maybe I can stop the insane rushing to get cars done and get back to a normal life instead of being exhausted after work. I did manage to get some work done on the SS last night. I resprayed the entire underside, and gave it a going over with cleaner wax to get the overspray and bondo dust off it. Tomorrow I want to finishe cleaning the inside of the trunk and going over the car with Gold Class Wax and hand glaze. Man I am so late this year!! I haven't even driven it yet!
